Episcopal Visit and Confirmations
Our Bishop, the Rt Rev’d Steve Breedlove, and his wife Sally will be visiting Christ Church on February 12-14th. He will spend time on the day before, Saturday, Feb. 13th, with all Confirmands at 2:00pm and with the Council of Advice at 10:00am.
Church-wide ALL CLEAN, 2/6
In preparation for Bishop Breedlove’s visit and to begin the New Year with a fresh start, we need everyone’s help to spruce up the church with our annual Spring Cleaning on Saturday, February 6th. This is always a great day—seeing our Christ Church Clean Team members working along side CC volunteers—-serving together to clean up areas of the church that need a little extra TLC. Please mark your calendars and plan to contribute an hour (or more) of your time anytime between 11am and 2pm. Bring the whole family! If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Breeding.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-‐8

Attention Youth and Mentors:
Mark your calendars! Our next youth and mentors meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 21st at 1:00 PM here at Christ Church. This will be a good Sunday to come casual or bring a change of clothes – we will be moving around some and would hate to mess up your good clothes. We will meet the third Sunday of the month throughout the spring (March 20th, April 17th, and May 15th) so please put these dates on your calendars as well!
The mission of the Youth Ministry (middle school and high school) at Christ Church is:
- To win lost youth to Jesus Christ
- To help our youth become authentic followers of Jesus Christ
- To send our youth into the world for transformational ministry and mission
In order to facilitate our mission, the youth ministry at Christ Church places its primary focus on developing mentoring relationships between our youth and more mature Christians in the body of Christ Church who meet together weekly. This is supplemented by a once-a-month gathering of all youth and mentors together. If you have a middle school or high school aged student you would like to get plugged into the youth ministry at Christ Church, please contact Jim Reed.

Christ Church Women’s Retreat
Dear Women of Christ Church:
We are in the process of planning our women’s ministry for 2016. For many years we have gone to St Francis Springs Prayer Center (SFSPC) in Stoneville, NC for a weekend retreat. The cost and popularity of the Center have risen dramatically since our first retreat making that location restrictive in terms of participation. Therefore, we are looking at other options in the area, and we’ll be in touch later with more info.
For those of you who might still want to get your “SFSPC” experience this year, I have asked for information about other retreats at the Center. There is always a three day Advent weekend open to anyone. Check their website:www.stfrancissprings.com/.

If you are interested in joining a group, please use the contact info. for the Life Group Leader provided in the flyer. We hope you will get connected!
