My title is Church Administrator. Basically, I organize, administrate and handle anything misc. that pops up. I love writing whenever the opportunity presents itself.
My husband, Matt, and I met in Winston-Salem and married in December 2005. We tackled the parenthood adventure five years later when we welcomed our two children into the world. I love that my kids get to be so intimately connected to church life because of my job —they attended staff meetings with me as babies and continue to visit the church throughout the week helping with cleaning, passing out papers, or just playing with kids and congregants of all ages.
Since no mom of small children can boast of much “spare time”, I enjoy days filled with family activities like bike riding, exploring the wide variety of parks and nature trails in town, grilling out with friends and neighbors, taking trips to Walt Disney World (a favorite destination from my childhood), watching movies, trying new & delicious foods that my Southern Louisiana husband concocts, and playing with our rescue cat and dog.
I graduated from The University of Richmond in 2001 with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology, and a minor in Religion. I spent my post-college years working in the legal field as a recruiter and marketing manager for law schools and law firms, but I’ll always cherish soaking up the first years of my son’s life as a stay-at-home mom. I had no idea it could be even richer until God brought the opportunity to share my organizational skills at Christ Church—interestingly, a couple of weeks before my daughter was born!
