Bible Book Study: Revelation by N.T. Wright

Revelation offers one of the clearest and sharpest visions of God’s ultimate purpose for the whole creation, and of the way in which the powerful forces of evil, at work in a thousand ways, can be and are being overthrown through the victory of Jesus the Messiah and the consequent costly victory of his followers. Like the other guides in the N.T. Wright for Everyone series, Revelation brings you into a fresh encounter with Scripture under the guidance of one of the world’s leading New Testament scholars. Thoughtful questions, prayer suggestions, and useful background information guide you and your group through each study.

Materials: (1) Your Bible, (2) Required Study Guide: $11 each, (3) Optional Commentary to order if you wish: $14

NORTH DAVIDSON at The Windley’s

Wednesdays, 6:30 pm at Pam and Dave Windley’s home in Arcadia

Bible Book Study: James by N.T. Wright

Every generation in the church worries, rightly, about people who just glide along, seeming to enjoy what they hear in church but without it making any real difference. James faced exactly the same problem in the very first generation. So it’s not surprising that translating belief into action–making sure faith is the real thing–is near the heart of his message. That kind of faith, he explains, is the faith that matters, the faith that justifies, the faith that saves. We need that kind of faith today. These nine studies on James’s passionate letter will help you live out a faith that makes a difference.
