Who We Are

The roots of Christ Church reach into some unexpected places. They reach back to men and women gathered with Jesus in the homes and markets of ancient Judea. They take hold in the practices and personal sacrifices of the early church. They reach back to the turmoil of the Reformation and those who turned the world upside down with truth of the Scriptures. The roots of our leadership spring from the Rwandan genocide of the mid-1990s and in the redeeming work of God following those one hundred days of terror. These roots and these experiences have inspired us to see North America as precious to God and deeply in need of hope and new life offered in Jesus Christ.

At Christ Church we have each experienced so much grace from God, and we hope to spread this grace to Winston-Salem. That word, "grace," says so much about who we are and what we believe God offers through us: forgiveness, hope, purpose, and connection with a God who loves us in ways we can't even begin to imagine.
