Join us for “beating the bounds” at our Rogation Sunday outdoor service on May 5th at 10am and for a potluck afterward. Please click HERE to sign up for food, drinks, and to help with set up and tear down. This meal will be outside, so bring your item covered. Most items will be kept on tables outside at the back of the lawn. Please bring this just a bit before the service and set it back there.

A few notes:

  • See the bottom of the sign up list to volunteer for set up and tear down
  • Whatever you sign up for, please bring a portion of plenty! (roughly two family portions)
  • This is ONE service on the lawn of Christ Church, May 5th at 10:00am
  • Suggested donation of $5/person or $20/family to cover the cost of the meat
  • Bring a lawn chair for yourself and extra ones for friends

What exactly is Rogation Sunday? As the 2019 Book of Common Prayer puts it: “Rogation Days are the three days preceding Ascension Day, especially devoted to asking for God’s blessing on agriculture and industry” (pg. 689). Churches will often mark the Rogation days with a “Rogation procession.” CLICK HERE to read more.
