Men of Christ Church!

Gentleman! We will be gathering on Saturday, March 8th  at Noon at the Kirkendall Home (415 Irving St, 27103). The church will provide sandwiches, but please bring sides, chips, and drinks to share. You could also help Jensen out and bring a bundle of wood for a bonfire.

We will continue our walk through Ecclesiastes with a short talk on “Fear of the Lord.”

As a brotherhood of Christian men, we long to grow together in godly virtue and increase in joyful holiness; we desire to be men with chests filled with God’s truth. We will look to G.K. Chesterton as a guide and model. And we need models and fraternity because the way of Christ is more than we can bear alone. As Chesterton wrote, “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.” Let us, therefore, not leave the ideal untried, but rather let us “stir up one another to love and good works” (Heb 10:24).
